Lucinda Gainey
Lucinda’s first audiobook was “The Tell-Tale Heart” by Edgar Allen Poe. She recorded it in 4th grade using her brand new reel-to-reel tape recorder. Providing her own beating-heart sound effects was her first foray as a sound technician. She spent the next forty-odd years preparing herself for her true profession (audiobook narration) by perform-ing onstage. She received her BFA in Drama (Acting Emphasis) from Carnegie-Mellon in 1980. She has portrayed characters from a wide range of genres and feels a special affinity for the works of Shakespeare.
