Edison’s background may be unique among audiobook narrators. A former brain surgeon (really!), he got involved in narrating audiobooks after holding the audience spellbound with just the pacing and quality of his voice at dramatic fiction readings. He approaches narration in the same rigorous manner he approached brain surgery: with deliberate study, a burning intensity, and great empathy. His narrations have included classic horror novels, historical fiction, military fiction, and several nonfiction works. He was recently selected by Valencourt Books to narrate the chilling novel of ancient supernatural forces, Golgotha Falls, by Frank De Felitta, the author of Audrey Rose. Edison is a US Navy veteran with 16 years service. He is a devotee of Stephen King, is most at home amid the pages of a good ghost story, and considers the late Frank Muller his champion audiobook narrator.
