15 Aug George Thorn
George was born in Bedfordshire and grew up in the rough and tumble surroundings of Catford, a suburb of South London. Having mastered “cockney” at a very young age, he spent much of his teens and twenties learning to speak with a more cultured accent. Quite gifted at mimicking pretty much any voice or accent, George enjoys a wide variety of literature, and constantly “hears” the characters’ voices in his mind as he reads. Mid-career, George found his way to America, and after eighteen years there, he has developed something of a mid Atlantic “twang”. Now in close proximity to Americans on an everyday basis, he is gradually building his portfolio of U.S. dialects.
