Derek Le Page

Derek has performed on stage for over 60 years and at home for even longer. Since taking the role of Harpagon in The Miser at school, he has explored Shakespeare, Bennett, Chekhov, Ayckbourn and many, many more. He leads a weekly spoken word programme on local community radio, reading poetry, prose and plays. His portrayal of Alan Bennett in The Lady in the Van won him the John Lewis Best Actor in the West of England Rosebowl in 2007. Now a veteran, the annual pantomime currently sees him as Dame or Ugly Sister or, all too often, village idiot.
