28 Feb Alice Gilmour
Alice Gilmour has over 10 years experience as a voice-over artist, working primarily in the e-learning sector, where she has honed her pronunciations of technical words and the ability to make even the most complex, dry information sound interesting and easily understandable. Trained as a violinist, she read music at King’s College Cambridge, and then later, whilst working in the audio industry editing classical CD’s and other people’s voices, she finally stepped behind the microphone. She attributes her love of the spoken word to growing up without a TV and listening to shows on BBC Radio 2 such as ‘Waggoner’s Walk’ in her bedroom at the age of nine. She likes nothing better than to get out of the vocal booth after several hours and go and do some much-needed DIY in her Victorian home in Saltaire, Yorkshire or try and tame her unruly hair.
