GETTING
THE SCRIPT READY
Abridgments
James
Adams heads this department, abridging manuscripts of any
length to your specifications quickly and accurately. While
a senior executive at the London Sunday Times for ten years,
James was responsible for overseeing and executing abridgments
for some of the most high profile books published over that
decade, including Princess Diana's biography, Margaret Thatcher's
autobiography, and works by John Le Carré. Our abridgement
team is highly skilled at abridging any sized manuscript,
while maintaining the integrity of the original script.
Dramatization
Our
skilled editors, along with our co-op of talented readers,
directors and researchers understand that the spoken word
is about communication—not just words. We find the
meaning behind the words and allow it to come forth with
moods, textures, inflection, tempo, sound effects, and just
the right touch of surprise that delights the listener's
ear.
Casting
and Project Organization
Casting
is decided with your creative and budgetary needs in mind.
After carefully listening to the specs of your project,
we will recommend one of our many talented readers that
we feel would best serve your project. If you prefer, we
will send you a free demo of several narrators reading an
excerpt from your project for your final approval. Once
your narrator has been selected, our preproduction is organized
efficiently to ensure that the talent's time is the most
cost-effective, while simultaneously meeting your project's
deadline requirements.
Research
A
research staff with years of experience in audiobook dramatization,
proofing, and editing, analyzes the script upfront to get
those tough words annotated for pronunciation and meaning
before the talent gets to the studio. This minimizes retakes,
shortening the length of time the talent is in the recording
booth. For you, this means your project gets completed and
returned to you expediently.
