Services

BeeAudio has one of the largest stable of highly trained and professional narrators in the digital audio world. They are supported by a group of exceptionally talented editors and engineers along with a team of proofers and researchers who all receive common training to our exacting standards. The result is excellence — the kind of quality you want and expect and too rarely receive.

This excellence applies across the full range of audio and we are committed to meeting your very specific needs at a price we know will be competitive with anyone in the industry. We can beat the price and match the quality because we use the latest and best technology while basing communication and data storage in the cloud.

These services include audiobooks, audio magazines, audio marketing collateral, e-learning, multimedia presentations, voiceovers, podcasts and voicemail messaging. Our team of audiophiles, voice artists and engineers specialize in spoken-word recordings, using the highest quality equipment to deliver the most perfect sound possible. We use Pro-Tools Software, high quality D/A Converters, M5 Pure Class A Preamplifier, Neumann U-87, AKG C414, and KSM Series Shure microphones, and completely isolated sound booths.

The most predictable part of the digital audio business is books and for that reason we can offer a fixed price per finished hour of narration. For everything else, please contact us directly and we’ll be happy to discuss your needs and how we might meet them at an affordable price with a delivery date you can trust.

Audiobooks

We have a rigorous process that uses both DropBox for data management and Backpack for communication. All narrators, researchers, proofers and engineers go through a training process to ensure they are familiar with the BeeAudio policies and procedures and they have access to the BeeAudio manual that captures all the lessons learned from producing thousands of hours of finished audio.

The production process works like this: A book comes in and either a publisher has chosen a narrator from the website or we submit auditions or the client trusts our Casting Director to make the right choice of voice for the project. A researcher goes through the PDF and marks the correct pronunciation of every challenging word. The Narrator then downloads the marked up script from DropBox and narrates either with or without an engineer or director, depending on the price option chosen by the client.

The audiofile is downloaded by the proofer who goes through the audio with the script in hand and marks up any pronunciations problems or extraneous sounds. The script then goes to the engineer who checks the marks, notes what he or she can fix and then passes it to the narrator for corrections. The final audio is then processed by the editor/engineer and goes to QC for a final run through before being passed to the client in the specified format.

Rates

Our audiobook rates start at $295 per finished hour, which includes proofing, engineering, and providing you with a finished master. Please contact us for a specific quote for your project, as well as for other commercial and audio needs.

Voiceover

Like the audiobook business of a few years ago, the voiceover world has a wide range of prices for similar services. Wading through this thicket is a nightmare for any budget conscious client so we’ve tried to make it very simple. All the costs you might see as add-ons in a project – studio, engineer, ISDN line, Director – are included in a single price of $295 an hour. This is less than you are used to because we run a very disciplined, low overhead, low margin business where success for us is all about price and service.

The only variable we still cannot control is the cost of the talent because so many clients still have union contracts and some of BeeAudio’s talent are also union members. So, whichever way you want go with the talent, we can accommodate your needs and we will always be highly competitive.
