TAMIR

TAMIR is an actor, writer and performer, as well as the creator of the one-woman shows In the Land of Israel and I Belong Elsewhere, by request of author Amos Oz. Her Poetry on Prayer, an inter-faith celebration of poetry, is on CD and has been performed at the La Mama Experimental Theater, the Village Gate Theater, the Cathedral of St. John, and on tour in Delhi, India. Her Way of the Heart, combining the poetry of Rumi with Persian music, has been performed at the Annenberg Center, the New York Open Center, and the University of Michigan, commemorating UNESCO’s “Year of Rumi 800”. Her favorite acting roles include Bernarda Alba, Medea and Maria Callas in Master Class. TAMIR has recorded over twenty audiobooks of fiction and poetry. Magic plays a big role in her life, in the form of a giant German shepherd.
